Art-Painting/Drawing: Grades 9-12 - 10 Credits- Students learn the basic foundation of drawing skills, techniques, vocabulary and expression.
Career Planning: Grades 10-12 - Credits 10 - This online course is designed to help students identify and examine their, interests, abilities, and work values in relation to careers opportunities.
Community Service: Grades 10-12 - Credits 10 - Students selects to work in a volunteer capacity for a selected non-profit organization. Student logs in active hours and prepares a report on his or her experience.
Creative Writing/Book Publishing: Grades 9-12 - 10 Credits This course is project based. Students will work in conjunction with a professional book publisher to publish an activity book that will be sold to the community.
Culinary Arts: Grades 10-12 - 2.5 Credits per session (Student may enroll up to 4 Sessions). Students learn to create and cook a variety of meals. Final grade is based on creating a final dish which is presented at the end of each session.
Dance: Grades 9-12 - 10 Credits - This course is taught by a certified dance instructor. Students learn both modern and hip hop dance steps. Students perform at the end of each semester.
Driver Education: Grades 10-12 - 2.5 Credits - This online course is provided to students who wish to prepare to take the driver's permit. Students will receive a certificate of completion. Note: Student must be in good attendance and have a c average or better to take this course.
Driver Training: Grades 10-12 - 2.5 Credits - Student must submit a certificate of completion from a certified driver training school.
Community College/Concurrent Enrollment Courses Grades: 11-12 - Students who enroll concurrently at any community college will receive equivalent high school credit (3 college credits equals 10 high school credits).
Teacher/Office Aide: Grades 11-12 - 10 Credits - This course provides students with the opportunity to work under the direct supervision the administrative staff. Student will work in an office setting. The student is expected to politely meet and greet students, staff and parents in a positive manner. The student will answer the phones, take messages.
Photography: Grades 10-12 - 10 Credits - This course provides students with the opportunity to take pictures with a digital camera. Students will also learn to resize, develop backgrounds images.
Senior Project: Grade 12 - 10 Credits - Opportunities for students to make active investigations that enable them to learn concepts, apply information, and represent their knowledge in a variety of waysSewing/Quilting: Grades 9-12 - 10 Credits - This course is designed to teach basic sewing and quilting techniques. Student will learn how to work with various types of fabrics.
Teachers/Instructional Aide: Grades 11-12 - 10 Credits - Students will work under the supervision of a teacher. Student maybe responsible for the following activities, filing paper work, copying, and tutoring students as needed.
Work Experience Education: Grades 11-12 - Maximum 40 Credits (10 Credits per Semester). This course is designed for students who want to demonstrate their work habits on the job. Students will be evaluated monthly and submit a written report on his or her activities on the job.
