Physical Education
Mission: To provide an online physical education program for high school students which contains developmentally appropriate, although challenging, activities, and teaches students to be responsible for their overall wellness. California Standards for Physical Education Movement Skills and Movement Knowledge
Standard1: The student will be competent in many movement activities.
Standard 2: The student will understand how and why one moves in a variety of situations and will use this information to enhance his or her skills.
Standard 3: The student will achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of fitness. SELF-IMAGE AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Standard 4: The student will exhibit a physically active life-style and will understand that physical activity provides opportunities for enjoyment, challenge, and self-expression.
Standard 5: The student will demonstrate responsible personal behavior while participating in movement activities. SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
Standard 6: The student will demonstrate responsible social behavior while participating in movement activities. The student will understand the importance of respect for all others.
Standard 7: The student will understand the interrelationship between history and culture and games, sports, play, and dance.

Note: in order to receive full credit for the class all assignments must be completed and activities logs turned in at the end of each attendance period. See your instructor if you have further questions.
